It's egg season!
We often forget there is a natural rhythm for eggs, just like everything else in nature. Our pastured eggs (chicken + duck) are at their most plentiful, so this is a great time to stock up and make custard, Dutch pancakes, and quiche!
Try our quick and easy low-carb crustless quiche recipe:
・2 tablespoons cream or sour cream
・8 ounces shredded or diced cheese
・3/4 tsp salt
・1/4 tsp pepper
➜ Butter a pie pan and add:
・1-2 cups of chopped veggies &/or meat
➜ Pour the egg mixture into the pan and bake in a preheated 325° oven for 30-35 minutes.
This quiche features ingredients you can find in our shop: Jacobs & Brichford Cheese Briana cheese and FungusAmongUs organic dried mixed mushrooms. You could also try asparagus with our ham and J & B Everton... our spinach with J & B Phetamias... poblano peppers with J & B JQ... or good old-fashioned broccoli and cheddar... plus countless other combinations!
If you want to go all out and make homemade crust, be sure to take home one of our lovely glass jars of pastured lard.
